Born and raised in Richmond, Virginia, Sarah Russell creates watercolors, acrylic paintings, and ink drawings inspired by the bright colors, southern traditions, and rural scenery of her childhood. Sarah's style also highlights details from her travels to South Carolina's beaches, Virginia's farms and mountains, and the island of Nantucket. She received formal training in painting, drawing, and stained glass at Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia. Since she moved to the suburbs of Philadelphia, Sarah has volunteered with the Main Line Art Center and has sold paintings to private buyers. This is her first display in Pennsylvania.
